
Summer STEM Enrichment Program
Provided by the Army
Research Laboratory in Partnership with
San Juan School District and the American Indian Higher Education Consortium
Students will:
- Work
with Army scientists & engineers
- Gain
biotechnology & computer science skills
- Explore
Department of Defense STEM research areas
- Build
leadership skills
- Explore
STEM pathways
- Identify
ways STEM can be used to help your community
Students will be offered a summer mentorship opportunity after H.S. graduation
(stipend - $600 per week for up to 5 weeks)
Educators will:
- Work
with Army scientists and engineers to enhance technical skills and broaden
knowledge within biotechnology and computer science
- Provide
assistance with
classroom interactions
- Serve
as student advocate regarding pace of instruction and material comprehension
- Receive
a weekly stipend
